Assistant Director of Transportation
Lumpkin County Schools is seeking applicants for an Assistant Director of Transportation for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Assistant Director of Transportation supports the Transportation Director in planning, managing, and overseeing the daily operations of the district’s transportation department. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant transportation services. The position involves coordinating staff, maintaining vehicles, managing routes, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and operational standards.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or higher
May hold teacher certification
Preferred previous bus driver experience
Acceptable criminal background check
Valid CDL in either Class A or Class B with P (Passenger), S (School Bus), and air brake endorsements
Previous supervisory experience preferred
